Iceprince was born in Minna, Niger State but moved to Jos when he was two. Iceprince started writting songs in 1998 and started studio recording in 2001. He got together with some friends in 2002 and formed the Ecomog squard but split a year later.

He eventually met M.I and Jesse Jags in 2004 at a young persons' forum. He then released his first single, 'Extraordinary" in the same year.

Well now this Aboki is now one of the hottest properties in Nigeria's music industry after his 2010 hit, 'Oleku" ...and that is not all because he is really working hard to win more awards.

  I thought this woman was really a joke...but i didn't know how serious she was.You may be wondering who i am referring to, well i am talking about Hurricane Sandy who has come to destroy properties and kill innocent souls.

I watched CNN yesterday night which i normally don't do for more than an hour, and there i saw what Sandy had caused. I started to pray for my loved ones in New Jersey and New York ...all said they were okay...hmmm that response wasn't good for me, because i was actually watching the TV and i had a clue of what was going on.

My cousin's son who has just been to Nigeria once, saw his mum lighting a candle when there was black out in New Jersey and what did he say "Mummy, whose birthday is it today?" when she told me, i burst out laughing, at least that made me smile. I started pinging my sister who stays in New York ... she told me "I am safe but continue to pray for me".


This Sandy chic is actually putting the presidential campaign on hold, just a week before election day. At least 13 deaths were blamed on the storm.

Sandy knocked out power to at least 5.7 million people, and New York's main utility said large sections of Manhattan had been plunged into darkness by the storm, with 250,000 customers without power as water pressed into the island from three sides, flooding rail yards, subway tracks, tunnels and roads.

Just before its centre reached land, the storm was stripped of hurricane status, but the distinction was purely technical, based on its shape and internal temperature. It still packed hurricane-force wind, and forecasters were careful to say it remained every bit as dangerous to the 50 million people in its path. By late night, the centre of the storm was over southern New Jersey.

The National Hurricane Center announced at 8 p.m. that Sandy had come ashore near Atlantic City. It smacked the boarded-up big cities of the Northeast corridor, from Washington and Baltimore to Philadelphia, New York and Boston, with stinging rain and gusts of more than 85 135 kilometres per hour. The sea surged a record of nearly four metres at the foot of Manhattan, flooding the financial district and subway tunnels.

Have you ever visited a less privileged home...well i was opportune to go with friends on the 30th of September 2012 for the first time and i was stunned to see what it actually looked like.

It was different from what i heard about places like that...some people made it look like it was a school you were visiting, but my dear, it is way more than that. There was this connection i had with one of the children there and she had a mental problem, and all she wanted me to do was to carry her which i did. I did not care if she cut my beads on my neck because all she was doing was just holding on to them. With tears in my eyes i did not know when i kissed her fore head and she smiled and put her head on my neck...wow.

When i left the place, all i could think of was, how do they feel, so sure they want to be like us...some wish to know their parents, others want to be free mentally and physically...hmmmm.

Was meant to attend another home with Magaret Olajumoke Adebo (MOA) Cares Foundation on the 1st of October 2012 but it was in Lagos. They visited Modupe Cole Memorial Home and Care Center. It was said to be filled with loads of fun. Friends and volunteers of the foundation showered the home with various items that day...i sincerely wish i was there.

JANET JACKSON CONVERTS TO ISLAM

Janet Jackson who has converted to Islam has been dating Wissam Al Mana  who is almost a decade younger than her since 2010 summer.

The 5 time Grammy award winner, Janet Jackson is getting married to her Qatari multimillionaire fiance in a Muslim ceremony next year.

The couple are planning to spend $3million to fly in around 500 wedding guests while Wissam who doesn't mind spreading big when he ties the knot with Janet, wants to give attendees a $10,000 Rolex wrist watch as a thank you gift.

 Wow...a baby born with 2 faces is really shocking...when i first saw these pictures i actually thought he was wearing a mask.

Kangkang's mother did not see him immediately at birth and broke into tears when she was finally allowed to behold her son following several pleas.

The causative factor of this condition is unknown but it is believed to be caused by an infection, or even frequent drug use by the mother. 


Though the treatment is expensive as Yi, Kangkang's mother discovered after she took him to a hospital in Changsha- capital city of Hunan, in south-central China, the family has been able to gather enough money for his treatment.

WHAT WENT WRONG AT THE HEADIES?

As for me and those i got to interview at the Headies...well we feel it was not good at all...yeah, you can say it was a flop.
The hall was filled with people and the show which was meant to begin at 9pm, started at 12am and ended after 3 in the morning.
The microphone was not working and that left those who were presenting the awards with only one microphone so obviously they were sharing it. In this age, i believe award shows should have gone past this.
Few people that i spoke with actually did not like the event at all... Apart from the sound system, most people complained about the awards not being given to the right people.
For example the awards that did not sound right were:
* Hip Hop world revelation of the Year - Wizkid (like really, how could such award be given to him...he should have gotten this last year or something)
* Album of the Year - P-Square ( i feel this award should be given to Wiz Kid)
* Best Vocal Performance Male - Wande Coal, for private trip ( this is really ojoro ooo...i really dont know what he sings...its too hard to sing along).
* Song of the Year - Oliver Twist by D'banj (please what happened to Kukere by Iyanya)

Well, Skales came up to collect Wizkid's award...i actually thought, the Pakurumo singer was not around, but someone told me he saw him sitting down there.
Tiwa Savage, Ice Prince, P-square and May D amongst others were also not there to take their awards. I also observed that the same lady who came to receive P-square's awards also came out to receive May D's own....hmmmm...
M.I who was hosting the show with Omawunmi said it was because of the Felabration that some artistes did not come. But well as for me that aint true. They may have had another appointment but for the Felabration excuse, naah. The only known artiste that was billed for Saturday night was Vector who still was around for the Headies to collect his 2 awards.
Whew...now for some good reports...the hosts, M.I and Omawumi did a great job...and the best performers for me were, Dammy Krane, Burna Boy and Chidinma.
What got me thinking after the event was that my home boy, BEZ didn't win any award...wow...its not fair at all...apparently he had the highest nominations.

Girl, 16, Brutally Pumelled To Death After Teasing Classmate For Farting

A teenage girl has died after as a result of beating she received for teasing a classmate over flatulence.

Attacked: Witnesses told police that Shakira Dorsey, 16, had been mocking a friend for farting before she was attacked, beaten to the ground and pummeled again and again

The incidence happened this time in Ohio where a teen was killed on Wednesday by classmate enraged by her alleged teasing.

Witnesses told police that Shaakira Dorsey, 16, had been mocking a friend for farting before she was attacked, beaten to the ground and pummeled again and again.

Miss Dorsey died shortly after the argument, police say, and her unidentified juvenile attacker has been charged with murder. The family said that the teen had no pre-existing medical conditions that would cause shortness of breath.

Just like the Nigerian incident, adults and grown ups alike watched the kids fighting without lifting a finger and it was not until Shaakira’s step father broke up the fight but that was a little to late as she died almost immediately.

Taliban gunmen in Pakistan shot and seriously wounded on Tuesday a 14-year-old schoolgirl who rose to fame for speaking out against the militants, authorities said.
 
Malala Yousufzai was shot in the head and neck when gunmen fired on her school bus in the Swat valley, northwest of the capital,  Islamabad. Two other girls were also wounded, police said.

Yousufzai became famous for speaking out against the Pakistani Taliban at a time when even the government seemed to be appeasing the hardline Islamists.

The government agreed to a ceasefire with the Taliban in Swat in early 2009, effectively recognizing insurgent control of the valley whose lakes and mountains had long been a tourist attraction.

Married Woman Who Slept With 15 and 17 Yrs Old Boy Dont Know Who Impregnated Her

A married mother-of-three became pregnant after having an affair with a schoolboy and his teenage brother at the same time. Claire Louise Roundill, 32, started by sending the 15-year-old boy unclad pictures of herself before driving him to Hessle Foreshore in East Yorkshire to make love in her car and at the same time, was also having a relationship with his 17 year old brother, and now she doesn't know which of them is the father of her unborn baby.

She was spared jail yesterday after pleading guilty to sexual activity with a child, supplying cannabis and possession of the drug at Hull Crown Court. The 15-year-old boy told the court how Roundill bombarded him with hundreds of text messages and photographs every day.

He said: 'She started to chat me up and sent me between 50 to 100 texts every day and she would send six photos a day. 'She would be in sexy outfits or Private. I now know she took advantage of me. I just want to put it behind me.'

Roundill’s barrister Charlotte Baines said: 'She accepts when she first had sex with him she did not know he was under the age of consent."

Well, Roundhill has also aborted the pregnancy!

This strange creature was found in Thailand. The creature has the shape of an overfed human baby (with a slightly oversize head), and it also has a tail and hoofs!

However, in order to show the primitiveness of the society in which it was found, a lot of local folks can be seen in the background of the pictures, doing what looks like “worshipping” the creature.

This is evident in the various items – baby powder, juices, etc – which they have brought as if in tribute to this creature: “They have even brought a fan to keep it well preserved for the scientists.

MISSY ELLIOT, TIMBALAND AND DMX NOT SUPPORTING AALIYAH'S PROJECT

American artiste, Drake is planning to produce unreleased Aaliyah's songs and Lil Wayne thinks it will be an awesome collaboration.

Lil Wayne actually feels the late artiste's music is better than a lot of music out today and that is why he is so confident that Drake's plan is brilliant.

Some who were close to Aaliyah have not expressed support for the album. Missy Elliot and Timbaland, who produced most of Aaliyah's music, are not involved in this project.

DMX, who co-starred with Aaliyah in the movie "Romeo must die" and recorded a song with her, has been critical of the project.

Mother Beats Baby To Death in India

Unbelievable...but true. A local court in Mumbai, India on Friday remanded the mother of a three-month-old baby girl, Ahuti, in police custody till October 12. Aahuti died while undergoing treatment in a hospital as a result of suspected battering.

The police arrested Ahuti’s mother, Dharmishta Joshi late on Thursday claiming that the woman had confessed to physically abusing the infant, as she was frustrated with her crying all through the night. The police also claimed that the baby's father Kalpesh Joshi was innocent in this case.

According to reports from the police; they told the court on Friday that “we want to understand the events as to how the baby died and will interrogate Dharmishta Joshi to find out.”

After the baby died on Sunday, the police had it registered as an accidental death but autopsy findings revealed that the baby had injuries on both sides of the skull. Doctors however say injury on both sides of the skull could not have been caused by an accidental fall.

Aahutihad a twin sister who died within 12 days of her birth. The couple also has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Devahuti.

Dead baby found near a refuse dump in Gowon Estate

Another baby was found dead, close to a refuse dump in Gowon Estate at Ponle bus stop. The new born baby was left there alive because two women actually said that they had heard the cries of a baby in the early hours of  this morning as they headed to the market but had no idea where the cries was coming from.

This is just wickedness.

Police Officer Allegedly Shot Dead 16-year-old Boy on Independence Day

A 16-year-old boy was allegedly killed by a police officer on Independence Day along Hospital Road in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Police patrol teams were reported to have been immediately withdrawn from the metropolis on Tuesday shortly after the killing.

According to Punch newspaper, the incident, which occurred at about 5pm on Monday threw the entire location in which it took place into panic. Also, eyewitnesses account has it that after shooting the boy, the policemen immediately fled the area; one of the eyewitnesses who identified herself simply as Charity said the killer policeman was seen running after the boy.

She said the policeman who was some miles away from the teenager opened fire on him but made a U-turn after discovering that he had died. She said sympathisers who later approached the body discovered that the boy was shot in the head. She also claimed that the victim’s girl friend was arrested by the police. Another source says, “Many of us witnessed it. We saw the boy running and we also saw a policeman chasing him with a gun. Suddenly we heard gunshots, and saw the boy fell to the ground with blood gushing out of his head.”

In what seemed like an unbelievable event, doctors had their hands full in addition to their already dazed minds. Doctors operating on a tumor in Nagabhushanam Siva’s left eye were stunned to find the two fully-formed teeth embedded inside.

The 23year old said she was born with an abnormal left eye and it continued to swell over the years it has grown much bigger. So she consulted a doctor when she had blurred vision.


Teratoma was the diagnosis that was given to Nagabhushanam by doctors at a government hospital in Chennai, southern India. The tumor had pushed her eye inside its socket and protruded the skin, blocking her vision and partially damaging the optic nerve. The growth also left her unable to move her eyeball and had developed lazy eye syndrome.

Doctors said they had seen a few past cases of Teratoma with tooth-like tissues embedded in the tumor, but fully formed teeth were very rare.

 Hospital Director, Dr K Vasantha, said: “A Teratoma is a mass of tissue that contains cysts and sometimes contains hard tissues but fully grown teeth is so very rare.”

The removal of the tumour caused severe damage to Nagabhushanam’s optic nerve which has tragically left her permanently blind.

Remember, a week ago, Iyanya got a Range Rover Sport car worth 11 Million Naira just after he bought a house in Lagos.

CEO of Trybe Records, Eldee, also acquired a Cadillac Escalade limousine for artistes under his label.

Then Comedian Seyi Law also shelled out 7 million naira on 2 cars; a Chrysler and a Honda Element for himself and his wife.

Another Comedian  but a fast rising one for that matter is, FUNNY BONE. He recently acquired a Toyota Highlander which cost him almost 4 Million Naira. (ABOVE PIX) He bought it in Boston. 

Well, it is safe to say that the Entertainment Industry in Nigeria is really lucrative.

BREAKING NEWS!!! At Least 20 Students Killed By Unknown Gunmen In Fed Poly, Mubi

At least 20 students have been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Mubi, north-eastern Nigeria, a police source has told the BBC.

The attack happened at a student hostel away from the Federal Polytechnic Mubi campus, the source said.

A lecturer told the BBC that more than 40 students had been killed but there has been no official comment.

The reported killing comes days after a major operation against the Boko Haram militant group in the town.

The lecturer, who did not want his name to be used, told the BBC's Hausa service that the students were asked to say their names after lining up.

He says it is not clear why some were killed and others spared - some of those killed were Muslims.

"Everybody is scared and staying indoors now," he said.

He added that students were now leaving the town - they have dmolestd tree branches over their cars, which is a traditional sign of neutrality in Nigeria.

Boko Haram militants fighting to establish Islamic law in Nigeria have killed more than 1,000 people in northern and central areas this year.
