Brat Pitt and Angelina Jolie have being reported to have commissioned two 500,000 pound, equivalent to N247 million from their jeweller, Robert Procop.

The former boss of British jewellers Asprey & Garrard has been busy producing matching bands for them at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat, in the south of France. And now they’re done and ready to go.

A source said: “Robert’s been busy all year making Brad and Angie’s wedding rings. “They are matching rose gold bands with a tablet-cut diamond in them and their vows to each other engraved in them. You can’t see it with the naked eye but they both know they’re there.”

According to Michael Latz, who is mayor of the village of Correns near Brad and Angelina’s home, the couple are due to finally get hitched this weekend.


If it costs this much to pay for a wedding ring, how much more for the wedding proper?

FRANK OCEAN CANCELS EUROPE TOUR WITH COLDPLAY

  Frank Ocean won't be performing in Europe with Coldplay after all. Billboard reports that on Saturday, August 11, the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All musician abruptly canceled 15 European dates, including a stadium tour with the British band and a scheduled performance at the Way Out West festival in Sweden.

Confirming the report was the Swedish festival organizer, which posted a statement on its official site, "Frank Ocean has just informed us that he will be unable to perform this evening at Way Out West." It continued, "Both Frank Ocean and we hoped for the best, but unfortunately he will not be performing."

Ocean himself also offered an apology for suddenly canceling his scheduled performances and explained, "Let me start by saying I feel like an a**hole right now." He went on, "But a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months and the casualties of that decision include my appearances at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot on the European leg of the Coldplay world tour. Sorry as f***, I'll be back if you'll have me."

In addition to Way Out West, the "Thinkin Bout You" singer dropped out of the Flow Festival, Pukkelpop, V Festival and Bestival. He was last seen performing at the Oya Festival in Norway last Friday, but cut short his show after delivering four songs. At that time, festival announcers said the 24-year-old artist had a vocal problem.

On Sunday morning, Ocean shared an update to his fans on Twitter. Writing from France, the New Orleans-born musician posted, "6:40 in Paris. I told myself i would sleep at midnight to beat the jetlag. Which i did, but i woke up at 5am for no reason. No matter."

R. KELLY PULLS OUT OF CONCERT CRUISE

 

R.Kelly is not going to board a cruise ship he was scheduled to perform in due to money problem. A representative for the R 'n' B singer said he has canceled the "Love Letter" gig because the promoter did not pay him as agreed.

Kelly was originally booked to play two shows during a five-day trip in October organized by Concerts Cruise LLC. The plan was for Kelly to stay on board during the trip from Miami to the Caribbean. Guests will watch him up close at his exclusive black tie reception and get access to private meet and greet.

But Kelly has now pulled out of it, saying through his rep, "R. Kelly had been looking forward to the cruise and was ready, willing and able to perform for fans. He is sorry for any disappointment but plans to see his fans very soon on a U.S. tour."

When Rihanna was tweeting out pics of her SMOKING WEED, sipping on Corona's, and F*CKING every dude she thought was cute . . . little did she know she was gonna lose her $25 MILLION!!

Nivea provided Rihanna with not only UP FRONT CASH .. . but they were the MAIN sponsor for her tour - allowing her to have OVER THE TOP stage performances (without breaking the budget). But NIVEA, the skin care company which paid Rihanna more than $25M last year -says she is not a good ambassador for their product.

Arsenal confirm signing of Cazorla

Arsenal have strengthened their midfield with the acquisition of Spaniard Santi Cazorla from troubled La Liga side Malaga, the latest player from the world and European champions to make the move to the English Premier League.
"Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that Spain international Santi Cazorla has joined the club on a long-term contract," Arsenal said on their website (www.arsenal.com) on Tuesday.
Malaga, who are offloading players amid reports their Qatari owner wants to sell up, also confirmed the deal, which Spanish and British media reported was worth around 15 million pounds ($23.42 million).
Cazorla is Arsenal's third major summer signing, joining Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud who moved from FC Cologne and Montpellier HSC respectively.
The 27-year-old has made 45 appearances for Spain, including brief cameos at Euro 2012, and will potentially play alongside compatriot Mikel Arteta in the Arsenal midfield.
Cazorla spent most of his career at Villarreal before joining Malaga last season when he helped the Andalusian side qualify for the Champions League for the first time.

Seven Cameroon athletes go missing

Seven Cameroon athletes have disappeared while in Britain for the London Olympics, the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education said on Monday evening.

The seven - five boxers, a swimmer and a soccer player - are suspected of having left to stay in Europe for economic reasons.

"What began as rumour has finally turned out to be true. Seven Cameroonian athletes who participated at the 2012 London Olympic Games have disappeared from the Olympic Village," David Ojong, the mission head said in a message sent to the ministry.

Ojong said a reserve goalkeeper for the women's soccer team, Drusille Ngako, was the first to disappear. She was not one of the 18 finally retained after pre-Olympic training in Scotland.

While her team-mates left for Coventry for their last preparatory encounter against New Zealand, she vanished. A few days later, swimmer Paul Ekane Edingue and his personal belongings were also not found in his room.

Ojong added that five boxers eliminated from the games, Thomas Essomba, Christian Donfack Adjoufack, Abdon Mewoli, Blaise Yepmou Mendouo and Serge Ambomo, disappeared on Sunday from the Olympic village.

International Olympic Committee officials said on Tuesday they had heard nothing about the missing athletes.
"We are unaware of it," IOC spokesman Mark Adams said when asked whether organisers had heard of it.

It is not the first time Cameroonian athletes have disappeared during international sports competitions.
At past Francophonie and Commonwealth games as well as junior soccer competitions, several Cameroonians have quit their delegation without official consent.

Roads closed as snow hits South Africa

South Africans are not finding this funny, as their movements have being restricted due to the heavy snowfall which have caused the authorities to close the road yet again.

Apparently this is not the first time the roads have been closed. The N3 at Van Reenen's Pass between Harrismith and the Tugela toll plaza was closed for a second time on Tuesday because of snow, the N3 Toll Concession Limited said.

It was briefly reopened just before noon, after being closed in the morning due to the treacherous driving conditions associated with the winter flurry.

Spokesperson Andy Visser said it had snowed along the N3 from Harrismith to Hilton, outside Pietermaritzburg.

Police arrest woman for allegedly killing in-law over N50

Policemen attached to Isheri Division in Lagos have arrested a woman, who allegedly beat her 15-year-old brother-in-law to death, for stealing N50.

The incident, which occurred about 3 p.m, yesterday, at 3 Amosu Street, off Community Road, Ijegun-Igando, reportedly sent some of the residents into hiding for fear of being arrested by the police.

Eyewitnesses said occupants of 3, Amosu Street  were attracted by the lad’s shout for help. One of them who reportedly went to rescue the victim was said to have been taken aback on noticing his still position on the floor.

Apprehension set in after several attempt to wake him up failed, following which the police were contacted. A resident who spoke on condition of anonymity explained that , “ we learnt that Seubuo ( deceased) was hungry because he had not eaten all day.

He was therefore tempted to steal N50 which he used to buy sausage. But while eating it, his sister-in-law, Mrs Ayinhongbe stumbled on him and when she discovered he stole the money, she descended on him. Nobody can tell what she used on him”

Policemen at Isheri division could not offer any explanation when contacted as they claimed the case just arrived .

Jimoh Ibrahim Suspends Newswatch Publication

The Publisher of Newswatch magazines, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Newswatch magazine, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim has suspended the publication of the magazine with immediate effect.
He said the decision was  approved by 51 percent of the shareholders of the company – Global Media Mirror Limited.

In a statement made available, Jimoh further explained the reasons for his action. He said: “The decision is taken to reposition the magazine and make it relevant to modern developments, and as such, the magazine is due for corporate surgery.

Next up, Curiosity will haul the Mars Science Lab at least half-way up Mount Sharp, a towering three-mile (five-kilometer) Martian mountain with sediment layers that may be up to a billion years old.

But it may be a full year before the remote-controlled rover gets to the base of the peak, which is believed to be within a dozen miles (20 kilometers) of the rover’s landing site.

DRIVER RAPES TEENAGE FOOD VENDOR

A 43-year-old commercial bus driver, who allegedly raped a teenage food vendor, on Monday appeared before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on a one-count charge.

Felix Adedayo is standing trial before Magistrate Patrick Adekomaya, but he pleaded not guilty, and was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The prosecutor, Insp Godwin Anyanwu, said that Adedayo, a resident of Adisatu Close in Orile, raped the 17-year-old on July 30 at 7.15 p.m. at the Oyingbo Motor Park.

The prosecutor told the court that the defendant had pretended to be buying the “Agidi”  (corn mill) being hawked by the teenager.

The prosecutor told the court that the offence contravened Section 258 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.

CHECK OUT THE LONGEST SERIES ON TELEVISION

For those who think the current television series nowadays is sorta long and seems not to come to an end soon, then what will you say about this American series, "GUNSMOKE"...this television series was on for 20 yrs (1955-1975).

Most people back then must have complained and waited for the series to come to an end.

Those who may have started watching the series wouldn't have been able to watch till the end, as some would have lost interest and others kicked the bucket.

But damn i don't think i can watch a television series for that long ooo...

Well "GUNSMOKE" series which was nominated over 15 times and won over 10 awards is about a Marshal Matt Dillon who is in charge of Dodge City, a town in the wild west where people often have no respect for the law. He deals on a daily basis with the problems associated with frontier life: cattle rustling, gunfights, brawls, stand over tactics, and land fraud. Such situations call for sound judgement and brave actions: of which Marshal Dillon has plenty.

The series was written by Murray Chapman and starred James Arness, Milburn Stone and Amanda Blake.
