Goldie died from hypertensive heart disease, autopsy report reveals


An official autopsy report has revealed that late pop singer Susan Oluwabimpe ‘Goldie’ Harvey died from complications of hypertension.

The autopsy which was conducted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja and released on February 19, 2013, states that ‘the patient suffered from ‘Intracerebral hemorrhage’ which led to a ‘hypertensive heart disease’. This, according to Dr. O.O Oyewole.

Goldie died on the evening of Valentine’s Day, February 14, a few hours after she returned to Nigeria from Los Angeles after attending the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony.

According to the Reddington Hospital, she was brought in dead. Her body was later deposited at the  morgue.

Burial arrangements have not been announced yet.
