iPADS FOR ANIMALS...

Orangutans across the world may soon join the ranks of millions of humans as proud owners of new iPads. As strange as that may sound, a conservation group is testing  its "Apps for Apes" program, allowing orangutans to communicate with each other remotely via the iPad's video chat technology.

Orangutan Outreach founder Richard Zimmerman has already donated iPads to zoos in Milwaukee, Houston, Atlanta and Florida, and will soon send iPads to the Memphis Zoo, the Center for Great Apes in and to the Toronto Zoo.

Orangutans are considered to be amongst the most intelligent of primates,making them a good case study for the interactive technology.

Zimmerman said that orangutans in zoos and other primate facilities usually receive all the food and love they need. However, during winter months they are forced to spend long periods of time indoors, which is counter to their natural habitat. And living indoors for extended periods of time can result in boredom and stunt social growth among other primates.

Dolphins have already demonstrated an ability with iPad technology with researchers using it as a language interaction device between dolphins and humans. There are even  several iPAD games made specifically for cats.

JENNIFER HUDSON ON THE WITNESS LIST

 Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is on the witness list for the upcoming trial of a man accused of killing her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew.

The Chicago Tribune reports, however, that prosecutors haven't yet disclosed whether Hudson will actually testify at William Balfour's trial, which is slated to begin April 9.

Balfour was the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, Julia. Hudson's mother and brother were found dead in the family's home on Chicago's South Side in 2008. Her nephew's body was found days later in a vehicle on the city's West Side.

A court filing by prosecutors last week contains detectives' reports from interviews with Hudson after the deaths. According to the filing, Hudson told investigators she'd known Balfour since childhood and had advised her sister against marrying him.

EVOLUTION OF DANCE

This is so true...am talking about the picture above. In 1970 the common dances are the disco styles especially for the teenagers. Then for the older people, we have ball room dance.
In 1980, break dancing, Slam Dancing, The Worm, The Running Man, The Cabbage Patch, Rogger Rabbit, The Sprinkler, The Electric Slide and The Moon Walk were all very popular dance crazes.
Bottom line, 1970 and 1980 were years of decent dancing. But you see the year 1990 and 2011, different dance steps were created and everything had to do with the chics behind against....please check out the picture above again. Then dance steps like "alanta" became popular. I am not really good in dancing...but the dance steps of nowadays are something else...#shikena#

Thursday, 16th February 2012 was a day of joy for the Falades as they were pronounced husband and wife in Surulere Marriage Registry, Lagos.The wedding galore also continued on the 18th of February 2012 as they had their traditional wedding. Bola Baiye who is now Bola Falade exchanged vows to her heartthrob who she met at a friend's house in 2007 and she says that the day of her wedding happens to be the best of all days.
Kool, Kalm and Kollected husband, Dare Falade couldnt take his eyes of his woman almost throughout the events saying he thanks God for the day he met his wife.

The news of top Nigerian Singer, 9ice expecting baby number 2 from his estranged wife, Toni Payne has been generating lots of reactions.
A lot of fans of the Alapomeji records boss are believing that he is responsible for the baby number 2. Well 9ice has debunked the story, and the dude took to twitter to clear the air about the pregnant rumor.

2face Idibia proposed to his African Queen and baby mama, Annie Macaulay on Valentine's day. 2face who is known to be the father of six, as the first baby mama is pregnant for his third child, leaving Annie Macaulay with one and the third baby mama with two.

20-inch Waist..

See shape...i would really like it if the chic was a bit fleshy. Ioana Spangenberg is a Romanian model and she says she has natural 20-inch waist. She is referred to as "the human hourglass".

The 30-year-old clocks in around 84 pounds, and says she was average size until her teen years.

When i look at this pix, i thank God for my body oooo... i actually want to be fat and i am actually doing everything to be sha... but Spangenberg insists she's tried everything and cannot gain weight around her midsection. No one seems to believe it, but every day she eats three big meals and she snacks on chocolate and crisps all the time. She says she just has a small stomach.

Obviously she is the woman with the world's smallest waist ever.

Today, 6th of February 2012 happens to be Lindsey's birthday... She was once a contestant of MTN Project Fame Season 3. Born in the late 80’s, a law graduate of the University of Jos. She is musically inspired by Stevie Wonder, Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, Roberta Flack and Sade. She loves volleyball, badminton, poetry, reading novels, playing scrabble and above all listening to soul and Motown music. She despises violence and sees it as a resort for animals! Lindsey believes that Nigeria is a great country that needs a revolution to get her out of the drudgery. She is obsessed with her eyes because they are pretty and they speak her emotions.
Yesterday, 5th of February happened to be Samklef, Kefee and Tiwa Savage's birthday. Happy birthday to them once again.

60 YEARS ON THE THRONE

Congrats to Queen Elizabeth II who marks her Diamond Jubilee on Monday, 6th February 2012 with a message thanking all those who had supported her over her 60-year reign and reaffirming her dedication to serving the British people.


The 85-year-old monarch ascended the throne when her father, George VI, died on Feb. 6, 1952. She is the longest-serving monarch after Queen Victoria, who reigned for more than 63 years.

The queen's Diamond Jubilee will be feted with a series of regional, national and international events throughout 2012.

Over the course of 2012, members of the royal family – including Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge – will fan out across the globe and travel to Commonwealth countries including Canada, Jamaica and Belize in honor of the queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The queen and Philip, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, will stay closer to home, touring the U.K. from March to July.

The 2012 Diamond Jubilee weekend will be held from June 2-5, with the main highlight likely to be a huge pageant on the Thames river featuring a 1,000-strong flotilla.
